My name is Zak, and this is my blog about fragrances and their history throughout the years.
Ever since I was a kid I have loved perfume. I remember so distinctly sneaking into my grandma’s bedroom and spraying and mixing the wide array of scents she had on proud display. When I was in middle school, I really began my journey when I received my first ever bottle of Chanel No.5. Although my grandmother’s scents sparked the first love, that bottle of No.5 started my true obsession and collection. Since then, I have grown my collection to include a wide variety of fragrances, both new and old. My true love lies with the classics, but every now and then a modern scent really takes my breath away. I love the subtle intricacies and the deep stories behind each scent and what makes them special. To me fragrance is what truly connects generations of the past to the present.
This blog is dedicated to that love. Here you will find not only my own subjective thoughts and reviews/retrospectives on a wide variety of fragrances, but also a detailed history and context on them. My goal is to share with you that passion, and spark a small community of fragrance lovers to join in with their memories and passions as well. Feel free to comment or even reach out to me on my contact page with anything you want to share!
I hope you enjoy!
